About us

Hello and thank you for visiting The Paw Pad Grooming and Spa Treatments website. I hope you find all the information you need as to why The Paw Pad is the right grooming salon for you and your dog. 

Firstly, let me introduce myself and tell you a little more about me. After gaining an honours degree in Psychology at university (including animal behaviour and psychology), I spent 18 years as a Recruitment Manager within the software industry. Whilst I liked my job, it was never the career I chose. Like most of us, I fell into my career in the short term and before I knew it, I was on a career path that I wasn't passionate about and 18 years had passed. Over the years, I desperately wanted to change my career to work with animals and fulfil the dream I have had since childhood. 

During lockdown I found myself dreaming of changing career from my 9 to 5 job sitting behind a computer screen each day to the career I always wanted and felt excited about. Finally the decision was made, I embarked on the wonderful journey of training to be a professional dog groomer and have not looked back since! Dog grooming is my passion and having enjoyed the company and love of dogs all of my life, I'm now fully trained and running my own business, I couldn't be happier! :)
